James graduated from his home city Liverpool University Dental Hospital in 2001. He then spent three years in general dental practice before coming principal of Haymans Green Dental Practice in 2005. 

In 2006 James began his training towards his special interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, completing advanced courses in endodontics and smile design.  He followed this by graduating from the Rosenthal Institute, New York by completing the Aesthetic Advantage program. 

James has performed over one hundred smile designs working closely with dental laboratories in the U.K., New York and California to provide the highest quality in cosmetic dental materials to his many satisfied patients.
