Easy access to braces in Liverpool

Did you know that at Liverpool Smile Studio, we have a wide range of braces in Liverpool, and if your alignment issues are not concerned with your bite, getting braces is easy when you come to us.

Our Dr Jeanine McGinty loves what cosmetic braces in Liverpool can do for her patients. These are braces that are designed to straighten teeth issues that affect how you look but not how you function or are so severely out of whack that you are in pain.

Braces in LiverpoolIf you only need cosmetic braces, then you probably don’t need to have metal braces that obscure your teeth. Those really heavy-duty braces are for severe issues. If it’s just a matter of mild twists or over-crowding or leaning in or out and how your jaws come together, then we have a selection of discreet braces and others that are fast-acting.

Here are two of our most popular brands:

Six Month Smiles

These are fixed bracket and wire style braces that use pulling tension to move your teeth. However, the twist is that these braces work on the front six social teeth only, and these are easier to move than those molars with extra roots at the back of your mouth. It could take as little as four months to align your teeth, although the average time is six months, hence the brand name. These braces feature smaller brackets made of clear ceramic, and one tooth-coloured wire, so they blend in with the teeth.

Invisalign

These are clear aligners that look like very thin mouth guards. They use a pushing pressure to move the teeth. You receive a series of aligners, each with a slightly different set of pressure points inside them. You work your way through the series, changing aligners when the pressure wears off, about every 7-10 days. The great thing about Invisalign is that the aligners are see-through and so thin that they really can’t be seen once they are in place. Also, you take them out to eat and drink and to clean your teeth, which many people find is a lot less hassle.

Retainers

Everyone needs to wear a retainer for some time after treatment to keep the teeth in place.
