Setting things straight at Liverpool Smile Studio

While braces come under the umbrella of cosmetic treatment, and can significantly enhance the aesthetics of your smile, going for braces in Liverpool can simultaneously improve your oral health. At Liverpool Smile Studio, we believe that health and beauty go hand in hand, as do straight teeth and beautiful smiles.

When the teeth are spaced correctly, it reduces the risk of food getting lodged in the teeth, which encourages gum disease. It’s also easier to brush and floss effectively. The benefits of straight teeth extend to your whole body, as you can chew properly to better digest your food.

Braces in LiverpoolShow the world your smile

Naturally, the most exciting thing about having your teeth straightened is flashing your smile to the world, or at least to the people of Liverpool. Braces are usually worn for roughly 18-24 months; however, it depends on the specific needs of the patient. Before you receive braces in Liverpool, your dentist will advise how long you need to wear them for. You can then embrace the brace knowing that you are on track to an improved, great smile.

What are the options?

Good news. Here at Liverpool Smile Studio, you are not limited to one type of brace. Opting for braces doesn’t mean you are required to go about with a mouthful of chunky metal. While traditional braces are fine for some, you may feel uncomfortable with the idea of wearing them for a long period of time.

Times have changed since people with wonky teeth have to grin and bear it, our tooth-coloured fixed braces are becoming an increasingly popular option amongst our patients. They operate like traditional fixed braces, where the brackets are glued to the teeth and wires are tied to help move the teeth into the correct position; however, the brackets are made from white ceramic instead of metal.

As well as fixed braces, we offer clear aligners and removable appliances. Clear aligners use clear trays to correct crooked, crowed and gapped teeth. Removable appliances are a suitable solution for those more minor problems.

At your consultation, your dentist can tell you more about the treatment you are interested in, and see which solution suits your specific needs.
