Fixed braces
These feature the traditional brackets fixed to the teeth with wires strung between them which are tightened to pull the teeth into alignment. Adults often prefer to have the tooth-coloured version for more discretion.
Clear aligners
Mouth guard-style aligners that you can remove, thus making eating and cleaning your teeth easier. You get a series of aligners to wear. Each one nudges the teeth along with carefully calculated pressure built into it precisely where it needs to be to work on your teeth. Made of incredibly thin, rigid, transparent plastic, these are almost unnoticeable once they are snapped on over the teeth. Clear aligners must be worn for at least 20 hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule, so if you are not so great at self-discipline, these may not be for you.
Front teeth aligners
These feature two bars that are spring loaded and designed to work on the very front teeth only. They are also removable and can take as little as six weeks to do their work.
