Veneers
These are tiny sheaths of dental porcelain that are custom-made for patients to cover over damaged or discoloured or mildly misaligned teeth. It takes a couple of appointments to get veneers. One to take the measurements, using impressions, to make sure they will fit your teeth, and the other to fit them. Fitting requires the removal of a very thin layer of enamel to give a surface to bond the veneers to, and to make sure they lie flush with the neighbouring teeth. The veneers can be coloured-matched to your natural teeth, or to teeth that have previously been whitened.
Teeth whitening
Whitening uses hydrogen peroxide to gently lift out the stains left behind by tea, coffee, red wine, smoking and some highly pigmented foods such as berries and tomato sauces. You can have whitening done in the clinic in around an hour, or we can give you a bespoke kit that you take home and do the job yourself, which takes two or three weeks.
White fillings
Replace the unattractive dark glint of amalgam with fillings made from dental resins. White fillings can be shaped to recreate your original chewing surfaces, and because they bond directly with the teeth are much better at keeping decay causing bacteria out. They also require the removal of much less healthy tooth material, so keep your teeth stronger for longer.
