So, whether you have a chipped tooth, or are in need of braces (usually associated with an orthodontist Liverpool), we can help. orthodontist-liverpool

What kind of treatments are available at Liverpool Smile Studio?

So, what is on offer at our dental practice? It is not unusual to expect to find particular treatments available with your local dentists, especially in terms of general dentistry. Here at  our studio we are pleased to cater for children and adults alike. When children come to the dentist, most commonly they will only need to undergo preventive treatments. These refer to aspects of dentistry which help to prevent the likelihood of future problems occurring. For example we will offer the opportunity for your child to have a fluoride application which helps to prevent decay. We can also use fissure sealants (tooth-coloured) on the biting surface on the tooth. Extractions and oral surgery along with root canal treatment and oral health assessments (all predominantly for adults) make up the list of our general dentistry treatments.

Where missing or broken teeth are concerned, we have a range of options available for our patients. These include bridges, crowns and dentures as well as dental implants. The most suitable treatment for broken or missing teeth must be decided in discussion with your dentist, and this will likely take place after your mouth and teeth have been fully examined. This is because the examination will help to inform your dentist about the current health of your teeth and gums and this may affect which treatment would be most appropriate for you.

Our dental hygienist provides hygiene treatments to our patients. These include scaling and polishing (a method of cleaning a patient’s teeth using professional pastes and equipment) and checking on the health of the gums. Where gum disease (or gingivitis) is present your hygienist will partner with your dentist to help ensure you receive the correct level of treatment for this. This treatment can often be performed by a dental hygienist. Perhaps most importantly, our hygienist advises our patients on how to clean their teeth efficiently at home, and where extra care must be taken due to braces or similar devices, they are able to offer tailored advice for these situations.

It may be that you don’t need a specialist orthodontist Liverpool. Many dentists are now equipped to deliver treatment such as clear aligners for teeth straightening purposes or braces. Alongside delivering these and other treatments often associated with an orthodontist Liverpool, Dr. Jeanine McGinty is a dental phobia certified dentist. So, if you are someone who gets nervous at the thought of attending the dentist, do let us know so that we can help you to feel as comfortable as possible.
