Enhance your smile with porcelain veneers in Liverpool

If you are dissatisfied with the appearance of your smile, porcelain veneers can help you achieve a beautiful, uniform smile in as little as two appointments with the cosmetic dentist. Porcelain veneers can correct several imperfections, such as cracks, chips, gaps and stains.

At Liverpool Smile Studio, we use high-quality materials to create your veneers. Porcelain provides nearly the same strength and translucency as natural teeth for a natural look. Whether you are interested in treating just a small number of teeth, or desire a more comprehensive smile makeover, veneers in Liverpool are a great option to achieve predictable results.

Veneers in LiverpoolWhat are porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers are thin but durable shells for the teeth that are custom-made for each patient. Using a mould of your natural teeth, our cosmetic dentist, Dr James Bennett, is able to achieve a perfect fit, providing you with a solid bite, and giving your teeth a uniform and natural appearance. Since porcelain veneers are designed to cover only the visible portion of each tooth, the procedure can preserve a great deal of your natural tooth structure while still maximising the cosmetic benefits.

What to expect

To begin the process of making the veneers, your dentist must make room for the veneer by removing a very thin layer of enamel from each tooth that will be covered. Once the teeth have been prepared, your dentist will take impressions of the teeth, which will be used to create your custom veneers. A temporary veneer will be used to cover your teeth until the permanent veneers are ready. Your veneers will be attached to the front of your teeth with a special bonding agent. Your dentist will adjust the veneers as needed to give you a comfortable fit.

How to take good care of your veneers

A week after we have placed your veneers in Liverpool, we will schedule a follow-up appointment in order to ensure that the bond is secure and the fit is still comfortable. Porcelain veneers are more resistant to staining, but to keep them in their best condition, it is advised to brush and floss them daily. With good care, porcelain veneers can last as long as 20 years.
